Around 1950 Jean Prouvé came up with this table frame with its slim metal legs that are reminiscent of the two points of a compass, in French, "le compas".

Legs in profiled sheet steel with angled legs, connected to a tubular central crossbar, table top and edging in laminate. Table top cream-coloured, edges in black.
